RetroSynth Radio
RetroSynth Radio has been around since the mid-2010s, offering a platform for the growing synthwave and retro-electronic music scenes. The station’s history is tied closely to the rise of the synthwave genre itself, which gained popularity in the 2010s due to its nostalgic appeal to 80s and 90s music, movies, and video games.
We started as an online radio station aiming to bring together fans of retro and synth-based music. Fans of synthwave, outrun, and other electronic genres flocked to the station and our RetroSynthMusic YouTube channel to discover new music, connect with like-minded listeners, and explore the growing scene of retro-futuristic music.
RetroSynth Radio also culminated in the birth of RetroSynth Records, which backs the station today. Newly re-launched, today’s RetroSynth Radio’s airplay is open to all independent artists and labels, focusing on wide range of synth-based genres such as Synthwave, Synthpop, Dark Synth, Retrowave, Cyberpunk, and so much more. We’ve launched with a full schedule of radio shows and DJ presenters with already popular and established audiences as well as a rotation of excellent music.
